- Protect Sheet(s)
- Provides you with the option to select multiple unprotected sheets from the active workbook.
- Enables adding or skipping a password and selecting various protection options.
- Protects selected sheets with chosen settings, followed by a success confirmation message.
- Unprotect Sheet(s)
- Displays you a list of all protected sheets in the active workbook.
- Allows selecting multiple sheets to unprotect, prompting for the correct password.
- Displays a confirmation message if successful or an error message if the password is incorrect.
- Encrypt/Decrypt Data
- A toggle button for encrypting and decrypting data in the selected range of cells.
- Toggled On: Encrypts data using a defined method.
- Toggled Off: Restores the original data by decrypting.
How to Use
1. Protect Sheet(s)
- Click Protect Sheet(s) in the toolbar under Worksheet Display Settings.
- A list of all unprotected sheets in the active workbook will be shown for you to select.
- Select the desired sheets and click Next.
- If no sheets are selected, an alert message prompts for at least one selection.
- In the next pop-up:
- Enter a password (optional).
- Re-enter the password for confirmation.
- Check the options for permissions, such as:
- Select locked cells, Insert columns, Sort, etc.
- Click OK. A confirmation message confirms that protection was applied.
2. Unprotect Sheet(s)
- Click Unprotect Sheet(s) in the toolbar.
- A list of all protected sheets in the workbook will be shown for you to select.
- Select the sheets to unprotect and click Next.
- Enter the correct password used to protect your worksheets and click OK.
- If the password matches, a success message appears; if not, an error message prompts you to retry.
3. Encrypt/Decrypt Data
- Select a range of cells to encrypt.
- Click the Encrypt/Decrypt Data button:
- When Toggled On, the data in the selected cells will be encrypted.
- When Toggled Off, the encrypted data is decrypted to its original state.
